:: go... spurs ::

i just watched the end of the spurs/lakers game on abc. i happened upon this game while flipping thru the channels. i used to be obsessed with spurs basketball, and now i dont even know the starting lineup... sadness. timmy, manu, tony...?

obviously i am lost. i love basketball, i need to watch more. and now its already going to be february, games are getting to be more important, etc. less lame tv, more basketball.

i "wrecked" my car. the rear bumper is half off b/c it got caught on my porch when i was pulling into the driveway... and i kept driving. shite. i hate it. poop.

i'm going to try and get some body estimates on tuesday. sucks. i hate spending money on my own dumbness. poop.

:: poopie ::

i've been feeling very bridget jones lately. angsty and loopy and with too many units. a singleton in boston with parents on the phone, quirky friends, weird office life with a mr.fitzherbert and nights out at pseudo-family dinners.

only i've got no daniel cleaver to lust after and no mark darcy in sight to save the day. which makes being bridget jones-y a lot less interesting. hmmm... good thing we've got no x-mas party for me to embarass myself at... though if that would jumpstart some action, hmm.

:: anyways. ::

one week of work/ x-mas shopping ahead. then a weekend of holiday parties (at our house?) and more shopping/cookie baking. then 2 days of work, then a flight to texas.

in texas: teeth pulled, family visited, christmas celebrated. barely any time home so i'll have to make the most.

then back to the bean for a big bang in webo to close out the year. oh joy. new years in boston. i've never had one. this will be my first (and probably my last) nye in the bean. don't know what i'm doing yet. it'll be artic but fun i'm sure.

:: this weekend past ::

i ate my weight in sugar cookies and beef on saturday. for real. roomies were baking and then we went to green fields for lunch. yeah.

since it was cold, spiced cider has been perfection. also my mexican abuelita hot chocolate.

:: long way ::

this book is so current. mixing tv scandals with passing references to the iraq war, and with some classic music-geek shout outs. its interesting, the writing reminds me of schrodinger's ball, which i read over thanksgiving, only this is of course hornby-brit-tinged, i.e. better.

joining the brookline library is so smart of me! books and movies and cds for free instead of me buying them quite so often. i forget how awesome libraries are. dumb, i know. anyways, it's different how this library has so much jewish stuff and a hebrew section. oh brookline.

saw my first snow piles on cars driving down the pike yesterday afternoon. today when i left work baby flakes were falling but nothing stuck.

winter's really here, eh. oh well. BOOTS. thats one good thing about winter in boston. i like wearing boots.

that's pretty much the only good thing i can think of right now.

i'm pretty much obsessed. i wish i had a job where it was my duty to study and review these things. i bet i'd be good at it. i know i'd enjoy it.

i really want one. i have a hankering for a completely inappropriate one. i bet they hurt though. yeah.

ok, so thats the goal for first half. i also would like to make appearances in cali, firenze, london, chicago, miami, and houston but i dont know how/when those could fit in. and of course san anto and nyc are both guarantees. cos i like them a whole lot yes i do.

its weird that i get happy at recognizing (random) actors in what i'm watching now from other (usually random) stuff i've seen previously.

today's case: watching school of rock on tbs. jackblack gets kicked out of the band... by a dude with a mullet... who i recognize as Roger (one great song) from RENT. imdb check and yes, it is roger.

last week on heroes when they flashed sylars eye i recognized the guy. this week- positive id that he is 24 and tori spelling show dude.

i'm a celebrity recognizing weirdo. soooo not a good talent to have i think.

:: amigos ::

i think i have a problem making friends. but i think it's common to lots of people.

i have friends, i'm good at talking to people once introduced. its just i'm not good at the introducing part. i think i can (and usually do) divide all my into categories pertaining to how we met. i have work friends, high school friends, middle school friends, elementary friends, college friends, ex-roomates, current roomates, and people i'm related to. i think thats it. those are all my friends. i dont meet random people in random places. i meet them in traditional, i have to be here kind of places. hmmm. sucks. i need to work on that. making random friends. i dont talk to strangers enough maybe. and i spend a lot of free time asleep. thats a factor too.

i do love my friends. the oldie's i've known since i was a bony 3rd grader in keds to the newest roomate ones i've met since moving in to my current house. i make these friends in situations where i am with the people for longish periods of time. so we have a history and stories and jokes. all good things for friendships.that might be part of the problem, i only decide to be real friends with people after i spend a lot of time with them... which only happens in traditional forced situations... hmmm....

we'll see.

i've been doing stuff.

phone died, got a new one. now i've got no phone numbers.

we had a lot of kids at our house this past weekend. lots of brandeis kids.

heroes is still my favorite show on television. only i only watch it online cos i'm always working.

texas in two days. for a week. yay!

i'm trying to buy a new old car. and to sell my old one.

tho i live 2 inches from coolidge, the place i've eaten most frequently since moving here has been inbound pizza. MAN, their buffalo chicken slices are outta control yum.

did i mention texas? with family and food and sun. and also my wisdom teeth getting pulled. dangit.

i saw flavor flav at a record signing in newbury comics. i didnt go to see him, i was on my way to a work dinner. but it was funny/random/littlebitawesome all the same time. the night was kind of downhill after that.

i ordered one on ebay but it came and it sucks so i have to send it back and they have to send me a new one. poop. i HATE being without a cell phone. its so depressing and lonesome i think. especially on my drives to and from work. alone on the road. booo.
